Wolfe Ave., Edwards AFB, CA 93524 SUBJECT: REF NO.: F1SBAA6088BG04 DUE: 31 May 2006 POC: Deanna Wright, deanna.wright@edwards.af.mil; 661-277-7706 (ph), 661-275-7859 (fax) DESC: The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, This acquisition is unrestricted. The NAICS code is 339111 The following items will be procured: Minimum Specifications for Programmable Rotary Evaporator System The system will include a programmable controller to store up to five distillation programs. The controller will be able to display rotation speed and vapor pressure. The vacuum controller will have operational modes to include pressure gradients and automatic distillation to dryness. The rotary evaporator can effectively use flasks sized 50 milliliter to 3 liter. The heating bath will have a digital read out and run over the temperature range of 20? C to 180? C. The heating bath will be made of corrosion resistant material. The system will contain a motorized jack for raising and lowering glassware. The glassware assembly will have a space saving vertical condenser The condenser will be able to accommodate dry ice/acetone or an immersion chiller that can be clamped in place on the glassware The system will include an inlet feed tube to allow for continuous feed of volumes that exceed the evaporating flask capacity CLIN 0002- shipping to Edwards AFB. Note* if more that one technically acceptable bid is received, cost and ETA will be the determining factors. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical quote, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government's requirement. In addition, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. Anticipated Award date is June , 2006. Responses must be received no later than (NLT) 4:00 p.m., Pacific Standard May 30, 2005.
