- Description
- The Idaho National Laboratory has developed a novel process that can be used to enhance the extraction of heavy or viscous crude oil deposits. The process can be used to extract oil reserves that are beyond the reach of conventional steam injection technologies. The INL is soliciting interest from qualified companies to collaborate and fund a joint development project to optimize and test the proprietary process. The development period for this project is expected to last 24 months. At the conclusion of the development project, the firm may seek up to an exclusive field of use license for intellectual property related to the process. Companies who have interest in this project should submit expressions of interest on or before 6/30/2006.
