Description

The objective of this contract is to secure a complete set of services to accomplish Stocking Control and Diversity Enhancement to meet silvicultural objectives. The thinning will be accomplished by the cutting of less desirable trees and the retaining of those that exhibit good growth characteristics such as vigorous growth, no signs of disease, and good position in the canopy. Work encompasses three items on approximately 522 acres, 479 acres, and 116 acres respectively on the Central Coast Ranger District, Siuslaw National Forest. The successful Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government-furnished), and incidentals to accomplish all work necessary. Offers are due by close of business on July 19, 2006. Estimated start work date for all items is October 16, 2006. Contract time is 60 calendar days, contract time will run concurrently for all three items. This solicitation is a total Hubzone set-aside. The solicitation packet will be posted in FedBizOpps on or about June 19, 2006.
