The Air Force contemplates a Firm Fixed Price contract consisting of a three year basic for FY 07, FY08, and FY09 with one each pre-priced options for FY10 and FY11. The contract will have three pre priced 90 day contingency extensions to be implemented in the event a follow on contract is not in place at the time the contract expires. General Electric is the only source with the necessary design, manufacturing, production, process data and performace history capable of perfoming the requirements of this contract. manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing required response date will be 17 July 06. The anticipated award date is 30 Oct 2006. The approximate solicitation posting date 15 June 06. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. MANUFACTURER: General Electric. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed request received directly from the requester is acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which if timely shall be considered. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements as cited in each individual solicitation. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
