- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with GE Healthcare Bio-Sciences Corp., Piscataway, NJ 08855, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This purchase is for one (1) each: 63005655 (S) Imagequant 400 Workstation System and 63005669 IQ Thermal Printer. System consists of the following: 4 CCD based imaging system for documenting and analyzing samples from Life Science research experiments. Captures images from white light, fluorescence and chemiluminescence samples. High sensitivity and dynamic range 12 bit, 4Mp camera cooled to -280C absolute and regulated. F2.8, 28-70mm manual zoom lens. Two compartment, light tight cabinet with interference filter, 5 position motorized filter wheel, adjustable height tray, dual wavelength UV and, white light transilluminator. Any firm believing itself capable of providing these services may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 15 days of date of notice to Tanya Shields at the above address for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with GE Healthcare. The NAICS Code/Size is 334516/500EM. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $100,000.
