Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to purchase new Navigation Simulator Synchro to Digital and Digital to Synchro Circuit Card Assemblies, which will be a part of a Navigation Simulator System to provide 400 Hz Synchro attitude signals to be used in the Submarine EHF Satellite Integration Facility, NUWCDIVNPT. This system supports the Navy EHF Satellite Program and the submarine fleet with the test and checkout of submarine SUBHDR EHF Satellite Communication system components prior to delivery to the Fleet for installation. To provide an EHF communication link the SUBHDR EHF Communication Group (CG) requires interface to the submarine Navigation system. The Ships Navigation system provides 400 Hz Synchro signals consisting of Roll, Pitch, Heading, Speed, and Periscope Bearing to the SUBHDR EHF CG. The CG will use this information to produce and accurately maintain an EHF Antenna pointing solution required by the EHF Antenna system to acquire the satellite downlink and uplink signals when the submarine is in a dynamic or static platform condition. One card will be required to bring in data in either synchro or digital signals, record and then send synchro or digital signals. Seven cards are required to provide data in synchro or digital signals. These seven cards do not record data input. A written Request for Quote (RFQ) containing detailed specifications shall be released on or about 06/12/2006. A Firm Fixed Price purchase order is anticipated. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-06-Q-3573. Required delivery is 4 wks. after award, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. This is unrestricted. Size standard is 500 employees. For information on this acquisition contact Eileen Emond at 401-832-1482.
