Description

THIS IS AN 8(A) SOLE SOURCE SET A-SIDE FOR IKBI, INCORPORATED, CHOCTAW, MS. The work consists of renovation of approximately 3000 sq. ft. of space in the Headquarters Building of the Engineering Research and Development Center Waterways Experiment S tation. The station is located in Vicksburg Mississippi. This building is a concrete column framed building with CMU infill and brick veneer exterior walls. Interior hall walls are 4 inch CMU and remaining partitions between rooms and offices are metal s tud gypsum board. All interior gypsum board partitions shall be removed and the area stripped of all finishes except vinyl tile Existing exterior and hall walls will be furred out 1 1/2 inches and covered with gypsum board to accommodate new electrical c ircuits. New metal stud gypsum board partitions shall be constructed to form eight new offices. All doors and door frames shall be replaced. New carpet and suspended ceilings shall be installed. The electrical system will be demolished and redone. The existing air conditioning duct work will be demolished. New duct work shall be installed from existing mixing boxes. The value of the proposed work is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Plans and specifications will be available on the Federal Technica l Data Solution (FEDTEDS) Web Page at https://www.fedteds.gov/. Bidders may register on the Interested Vendors List (IVL) at http://www.2fbo.gov/ and retrieve an IVL from the same location. Compact disc and hardcopies will not be available. Bidders should check FEDTEDS often for changes (AMENDMENTS). Issue date on or about May 24, 2006. Closing date on or about June 23, 2006.
