Description
NASA/GSFC has a requirement for a micro lens array system with the following specificatins: General: Custom arrays of bi-convex microlenses. Material: Fused silica (water free) Pitch: 1.00 mm Fill factor: >96% Focal length: 9.0 mm at wavelength 0.63 nm Variation of foci from common focal plane less than +/- 0.27 mm Thickness: 2.00 mm Manufacturer may offer similar convenient thickness Number of lenslets in array: 33 x 33 Mounting rim (can be extra lenslets): 1.0 - 2.0 mm Anti-reflection coated for broad band Tolerances: Supplier to quote. Number of arrays: 4 Option 1: Supply microlens arrays Option 2: Option 1 plus matching format pinhole array to be used at the focus of the microlens array. Diameter of holes 70 microns Transmission of holes > 0.96 Surface between holes black, with optical transmission <0.001 Material may be an opaque material or a coating on fused silica Number of pinhole arrays: 4 Option 3: Assembly of microlens array with pinhole arrays, aligned and focused in a mount. Alignment tolerances: Across array in x and y: +/- 5 microns Focus: +/- 20 microns Supplier may quote on option 1 only, options 1 and 2, or options 1, 2 and 3. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing to Mary.B.Brown@nasa.gov no later than 4:30 p.m. June 5, 2006. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). An ombudsman has been appointed - See NASA Specific Note "B".
