Description

POC FOR THIS PROJECT IS MR. ALLEN HARRISON AT FAX: 251-694-3626. THIS PROJECT IS ADVERTISED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS PURSUANT TO THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM. THIS PROJECT IS A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP), PERFORMANCE PRI CE TRADE OFF PPTO) SOLICITATION. The scope of the project provides for a two-story, administrative facility that consolidates the organizations of the Mission Support Group (MSG). The MSG organizations currently operate in different buildings around the installation. This phase consists of 34,950 SF of conditioned space and 35,322 total including outside covered space. This facility will accommodate Group Command, Logistics Readiness, Mission Support Squadron, Contracting Squadron, and the Comptroller S quadron. This facility will contain a space to process secret communications and data in secure environment. A primary function of the majority of the MSG staff is the utilization of communications and data that is received and transmitted over personal computers. Thus much of the building will be developed as open office space, with landscape furnishings to support a dense development of individual workstations and multiple personal computers. An extensive communications/data system will include fiber, and copper conductors. Other electronic systems include: cable television; mass notification system. Bid/solicitation documents should be available on or about 16 June 2006. Estimated cost range of the project is from $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Mr. Ed ward M. Note No. 1: EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY; the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, is implementing a new procedure for posting all NEW solicitations. The Mobile District Electronic Bid Solicitations (EBS) system will no longer be used to post solicitat ions. The new system, called Federal Technical Data System (FedTeDS), is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related information for all Federal agencies. All prospective contractors and their subcontractors and suppliers must be registered in FedTeDS before they will be allowed to download solicitation information. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Technical Data Solution FedTeDS Homepage https://www.fedteds.gov/.
