Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation will be issued through ASFI/FedBizOps as will any amendments thereto. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorpor ated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-2006, effective 30 September 2005. This action will result in fixed price 5 yr Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract. This requirement is for a ma ximum contract quantity of 600 each stabilizer legs, mounting brackets, stowage rubber cords, and mounting points. FOB Destination to Rock Island, Illinois 61265. The following provisions apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instruction to Offerors C ommercial Items (Jan 2006); FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items (Mar 2005); FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items (Feb 2006) along with addition al FAR clauses cited under paragraph (b) 14, 15, 16, 26, 28, and 31. This solicitation is restricted to Silver Eagle Manufacturing Company, 5825 NE Skyport Way, Portland, OR 97218. Offers from concerns other than the above are not solicited. See Note 2 2. This solicitation is published for subcontracting purposes only. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested pers ons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received with in seven days after date of publication of this synop sis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely with in the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Response is due no later than 31 May 2006, 9:00 a.m. CST.
