Description

THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE SYNOPSISThe Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC) has a sole source requirement for a high through-put capillary genetic analyzer directly compatible with the Applied Biosystems 3900 Nucleic Acid Synthesizer. This is a Sole Source with Applied Biosystems IAW FAR 6.302-1 for their DNA Analyzer model 3730. Applied Biosystems is the only source capable of fulfilling the government?s requirement to provide the longest read lengths of any available sequencing system with higher signal to noise ratio and a more uniform signal profile across the arrray. The AFTAC program requires strict quality assurance and control as well as compatibility with other labs for continuity and consistency of results. No solicitation documents exists at this time. This item/service utilizes Standard Industrial Code (SIC) 3826 with a business size of 500 and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 334516. Interested firms may identify their capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, the government will consider any responses from capable sources received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis. 45 CONS/LGCB has determined that Applied Biosystems is the only source capable of providing this requirement.
