Description

Lake Pasture Fence- The purpose of this project is to construct a new allotment interior fence in the Lake Pasture of the Glade Allotment on the San Juan National Forest. The proposed project will consist of approximately 2.46 miles horizontal length of 4 wire lay down fence, and approximately 0.34 miles horizontal length of 4 wire permanent fence for a total of 2.8 miles of new fence construction. The top and bottom wires will consist of two-strand twisted smooth wire, barbless. The two middle strands will consist of barbed wire. The fence location shall be flagged by the Government prior to the show me trip, using florescent orange flagging. The Contractor shall be responsible for clearing the fence line corridor, which includes tree and brush removal, and the construction of the lay down and permanent fence. The Contractor shall have the option to purchase timber removed, except in the ROW west of National Forest Service Road 215. The width of the fence line corridor, aka Right of Way (ROW), shall be a minimum of 9 feet wide and a maximum of 12 feet wide to allow for placement of the fence. The Government shall provide fence materials for both types of fences. These fence materials shall be issued to the Contractor at the Dolores Public Lands Office. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, supervision, and transportation (including delivery of fence materials from the Dolores Public Lands Office to the proposed project site). The contractor shall perform all work required to complete the project as reasonably close to conformity with drawings and specifications, and in accordance with provisions of the contract. This solicitation will only be made available from the Fed Biz Opps website - www.fedbizopps.gov. This solicitation is being advertised under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is open to large and small businesses.
