Description

Vicksburg Consolidated Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 from Thermwood Corporation, Dale, IN 47523. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP)  on ly one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 12. This requirement is for the 91000 control electronics upgrade to the existing Model 67 Thermwood CNC Router. Thermwood is the only manufacturer of the 91000 SuperControl and their technicians are the only technicians trained to install the 91000 SuperControl. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities/qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 1530 hrs Central Time Zone on 21 May 2006. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A dete rmination by the government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice . No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
