- Description
- Provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary for JTF Alaska Road watercraft storage, and maintenance to include lift/launch and blocking of vessels, Wet/Dry storage, and repair to three LCM-8 watercraft, as well as two personnel boats (Command and Control or C2 boats) and utility boat located in the vicinity of Ketchikan, Alaska, to include Ketchikan and Annette Island. The contractor/vendor shall verify all (if any) dimensions provided by the government. Contractor and government representatives will perform inspections on and off water. Identify damages and note findings in an inspection report during turn-over of the vessels. Copies of this report shall be provided to Contracting. The vessels are located in Ketchikan Alaska and operated in the waters of Ketchikan and Annette Island Alaska. LCM-8 Weight: 105 tons Height: 20 ft Length: 74 ft Romeo 1 (C2) Weight: 8,000 lbs Length: 30 ft Romeo 2 (C2) Weight: 4,500 lbs Length: 26 ft Utility Boat Weight: 3,000 lbs Length: 21 ft a) Lift/Launch and blocking The contractor needs to be able to do this on short notice, i.e. less than six hours, for emergencies. b) Wet/Dry Storage. This would include both dockside and while blocked in the winter (Pro-rated). Vendor shall provide the protected storage of the vessels for the duration of the lay-up. (First vessel on or about 1 September through no later than 1 April). Payment will be based upon the date of receipt and prorated based on monthly rental. The delivery and redelivery of shall occur at the vendor?s facility in the water. Cost per LCM-8 /Daily average rate is $____________. Cost per C2 Boats/Daily average is $___________. c) Electric power and weekly inspection/engine start Vessel security and winterization inspection. LCM-8 need to be secured (locked) and access will be authorized to government representatives upon notification to the contractor without additional charges. This specification shall include pier side /and electrical hookup, and weekly inspection. Vessel engines will be started on a weekly interval and warmed to operating temperature IAW Detroit Tech Manual 12V71. Portable heaters and locks will be provided by the government.
