<DL> <DT> Contracting Office Address <DD>Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Affairs (V4CONT) 1601 East Fourth Plain Boulevard Vancouver, WA 98661 <DT> Description <DD>NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION (NOPCA). The Portland VA Medical Center (Portland VAMC) has awarded on a sole source basis a Fixed Price contract for the purchase of specialized laboratory equipment to Research Service, Data Sciences International 4211 Lexington Ave N. Ste 2244 St Paul MN 55126-6164. This acquisition included the following: 1 each Implantable Rodent Telemetry system for 12 cages including receivers, power cords, monitoring/reporting software, and computer system capable of monitoring body temperature, activity, EEG, blood pressure, and EKG of rodents. Required Delivery: 30 days ARO. The proposed contract action is for supplies/services for which the Government solicited and negotiated with only one source IAW 10 U.S.C.(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-2, unusual and compelling urgency. The Government intends to made the award in May 2006. No technical data/drawings/Technical Orders are available. If a firm believes it is capable of meeting to Government?s requirement, it may identify their interest and capability to the Portland VA Medical Center Contracting Office (V4CONT) 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd Vancouver, WA 98661 No later than 1:00 pm Pacific Daylight Time 26 May 2006.
