Description: Seven Cabins Habitat Improvement Thinning Project: The Lincoln National Forests, Smokey Bear Ranger District has a requirement for the reduction of tree densities (Thinning) on 360 acres for a Wildlife habitat Improvement Project. The purpose of work is to create a mosaic of openings and cover to improve wildlife habitat. Woody Vegetation treatments may be completed by hand with chainsaws or by mechanized equipment (i.e. pushing, extraction or mastication etc).
