Description

This project consists of converting eight (8) existing high pressure CO2 fire suppression systems to fully modernized low pressure CO2 bulk storage system for the twenty-seven (27) main generating units and two (2) station service generating units and 2 ex isting high pressure CO2 fire suppression systems to a fine water mist system for the oil storage room, oil purification room and station service transformer vault. The new CO2 system will include three 93) new CO2 bulk refrigerated storage tanks, 3 new f ire alarm control systems, a supply header along the length of the powerhouse with branch piping to new supervised routing valves and pneumatic actuation system. Some existing piping and components will be reused. CO2 leak detection will consist of odori zers and new alarms and warning signs will be installed in applicable locations. The new water mist system will include new fire alarm control panel, fire pump (if applicable), control valves, new water supply piping from water potable water supply to the water mist equipment, and new discharge piping from control valves to hazard areas. Some existing piping will be reused. Estimated dollar value is in the range of $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 and the completion period is 425 calendar days. This requirement will be a Negotiated procurement conducted in accordance with procedures outlined in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 15. The solicitation will be a Request for Proposal (RFP), and a firm fixed-price contract will be awarded as a result fo this procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238220 with a size standard of $12,000,000.00. Project is open to both large and small business. If you are a large business and your proposal will exceed $1 million, you wi ll be required to submit a subcontracting plan with goals for small, HUBZone, small disadvantaged, small woman-owned, and small veteran-owned concerns. For the purposes of this procurement, a concern is considered a small business if its annual average gr oss revenue, taken for the last 3 fiscal years, does not exceed $12 million.
