- Description
- The U. S. Army, Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, is soliciting proposals for New Orleans and Southeast Louisiana Hurricane Protection Restoration. This procurement is Unrestricted. It is anticipated that more than one Indefinite Delivery/I ndefinite Quantity (ID/IQ), Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) will be awarded. The number of contracts awarded will be determined by the number of qualified technical proposals received. The MATOCs will be issued for one base year with an optio n to extend an additional year. The cumulative total of all task orders issued under all the MATOCs shall not exceed $30,000,000.00 per year. Each individual task order will be competed amongst all awardees and award will be made based on lowest price. The work consists of placing various types of stone at various locations within the limits listed on the banks of the Mississippi River (Mile 150 to 0 AHP) including: Southwest Pass (Mile 0 - -20 BHP); Atchafalaya River (Mile 0 to 137); Red River (Mile 6 t o 11); Calcasieu River (Mile 35 to -32); Mississippi River Gulf Outlet (Mile 65 to -10) and GIWW (Mile 160 170); and Louisiana Coastal Area. RFP will be issued on or about 24 May 2006. Estimated receipt of proposals will be 23 June 2006. Actual dates will be shown when the solicitation is issued. For security reasons, all technical and engineering data related to this solicitation will be distributed using the Federal Technical Data Solutions (FedTeDS) system. FedTeDS is a web-based dissemination t ool designed to safeguard acquisition-related information for all Federal agencies. Interested bidders must register with FedTeDS before accessing the system. Registration instructions can be found on the FedTeDS website (https://www.fedteds.gov) by clic king on the Register with FedTeDS hyperlink. Contractors registered with the Federal Technical Data Solutions (FedTeDS) may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the Internet after solicitation issuance at the following internet a ddress: https://www.fedteds.gov/fedteds/start.nsf/frm.vendorlogin?openform&SolicitationNumber=W912P8-06-R-0162. The next page will say Solicitation Information, click on file name and begin downloading. Do not click on the paperclip; click on the blue informational line. It may take some time to download the files. Zip files containing .cal drawing files should be downloaded and extracted together in a single directory. You will need the adobe acrobat reader for .pdf files (www.adobe.com) and the maxview reader (www.maxview.com) for .cal files in order to open most files posted by the New Orleans District. You are advised that FedTeDS currently does not have a Plan Holders List capabilit y. However, you are encouraged, for marketing purposes, to register as an Interested Vendor in FedBizOps (www.fbo.gov). This can be done by clicking on the solicitation title and clicking on the button that says Register as an Interested Vendor and enter ing your business information.
