Description
The work consists of construction of two repair areas, approximately 1200 feet long and 2400 feet long, previously repaired with sandbags, rip rap, recycled reinforced concrete and earthen fill along the subject levee. Required construction of a gra nular core clay covered interim protection levee set forward in marsh. Partial excavation and removal of previous repair materials, Surfacing of access/haul roads. Placement of reinforcement geotextile fabric (1600 psi). Construction of compacted fill le vee. Uncompacted fill borrow pit and staging area provided. Contractor furnished compacted fill required. Work includes clearing and grubbing; fertilizing, seeding and mulching; and other incidental work. Existing drainage canal function must not be im peded. Construction work will likely require marsh buggies. This solicitation is issued as a Best Value Unrestricted procurement. NAICS: 237990, FSC: Y299. RFP will be issued on or about 23 May 2006. Estimated receipt of proposals will be 23 Jun e 2006. Actual dates will be shown when the solicitation is issued.
