- In this Sources Sought Notice, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE), is seeking firms capable of providing the technical and support services described herein. The CVE operates a national call center, the Enterprising Veterans Information Center (EVIC), which consists of Interactive Intelligence Customer Interaction Center (CIC) 2.3.1 computer telephony software; 24 T1 lines connected to a Windows 2000 Server; a custom pop up application that captures the caller?s name, phone number, zip code, street address, city, and state, via a Targus Lookup Database and matches the zip code with an SQL database to identify the nearest business assistance center. Sources responding to this notice must be technically capable of maintaining this system and modifying it to show their ability to provide a Disaster Recovery System and TTY/TDD which shall: (1) Transfer calls to an off-site locations during a loss of network connectivity or disaster situation; (2) Enable all call center users to take incoming calls remotely or locally during a loss of network connectivity or disaster situation ; (3) Enable CVE staff to access and populate the custom application during any loss of network connectivity or disaster; and (4) Enable all TTY/TDD callers to receive all information provided by CVE. INSTRUCTIONS: Responses to this sources sought request are due to the POC no later than May 19, 2006 at Noon EDT and shall be submitted electronically via email only to the attention of Kelsey Mortimer II at Kelsey.Mortimer@va.gov . The subject line of the email message shall be EVIC Disaster Recovery System. No other method of transmittal will be accepted. The response shall not exceed ten (10) Pages. Responses over the page limitation may be discarded. When sending files electronically, they can sometimes become corrupt and unable to access. Neither the CVE nor the VA is responsible for any failure to access vendors? electronic files. To respond you must provide the following: 1) General Information about your firm *Company name: *Address: *Point of Contact Telephone Number E-mail address *GSA Schedule Number (if applicable) *DUNS Number *Tax ID Number; 2) Capability of the company to meet the requirements above; 3) Past performance of any disaster recovery plans or systems implemented. Past performance references must provide: a) name of the customer or company; b) name and phone number of the primary contact with customer or company; c) brief description of contract; d) total contract value; and e) business size. The information supplied in response to this sources sought notice will be used to develop an acquisition strategy. Companies must be authorized resellers of Interactive Intelligence software equipment. Service-disabled veterans-owned small businesses and other small businesses are encouraged to respond. CVE anticipates release of a solicitation in June 2006. Neither the CVE nor VA will be responsible for any costs for the preparation of the responses to this request.
