Description

2006 Design-Build Compound Security Upgrade in Egypt. The U.S. Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) is seeking to pre-qualify cleared firms for Design-Build Construction Services for the security upgrade at several diplomatic facilities in Egypt. The contract is expected to be awarded prior to September 30, 2006. Construction shall proceed only upon an issuance of a Notice to Proceed. Performance period of this project from Notice to Proceed issuance is anticipated to be 16 months. This project does require the use of some Secret cleared American workers. The contract type for this project will be firm fixed-price. Estimated Design-Build Cost: US$ 10 to 15 Million. Award of this contract is subject to the availability of funds. Pre-Qualification proposals due 3:00 PM EDT, June 6, 2006.
