- R-- The National Park Service (NPS) intends to award a non-personal contract witha base and 4 option years for the following services: Background - The NPS Park Facility Management Division (PFMD) supports NPS employees in their role as stewards of diverse and complex assets that range from roads, trails, buildings and utilities to maintained landscapes, monuments and fortifications throughout the U.S. and it's territories. The PFMD operates the Facility Management Software System (FMSS), a centralized database application, to support park asset mamagement activities. To maximize user access to FMSS the PFMD intends to build a contingency platform with failover capability when the primary platform becomes unavailable. This scope of work describes hosting services located at an offsite facility in the nearby greater Washington DC area have reduced possibility of being affected by the same disaster at the primary platform located at the NPS, 1201 Eye Street, NW Washington DC data center. FMSS is tailored commercial off the shelf software which is presently MAXIMO 4.1.1 client software installed on multiple Citrix Presentation Server XP Feature Release 3 application servers. FMSS related applications include the Cost Estimating Software System (CESS) which is Timberline Cost Estimating software installed on the same Citrix application servers and Pervasive SQL database file servers. Tasks - The contractor shall provide space within an data center facility to house the rack mounted hardware described by the FMSS Contingency Platform Description; a local area network connected to the Internet with redundant routing; Public IP addresses; minimum 10Mbps Internet bandwidth connection;Cisco Pix 515E firewall hardware;provide secure VPN connection to the NPS/DOI network; state of the art data center complying with PE security controls of Annex 3 to NIST Special Publication 8 00-53; certified and trained staff in Citrix Presentation, Cisco hardware and software, Pervasive SQL ; able to be contacted 24 hours/day, on site in 60 minutes; moving services to relocate equipment from current area.
