Description

SOLICITATION ISSUE DATE: 05/19/2006. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary for Billard Hall Exterior Painting, Gutter Lining Replacement and Cornice Repairs at the USCG Academy, New London, CT (New London County). Work includes but is not limited to the following: Demolition: Remove and dispose of deteriorated wood cornice, box gutter and gutter lining, Remove and dispose of all other existing copper box gutter linings cleats, all related fastening devices, underlying roofing felt and construction paper. Copper downspouts are to remain and be reused. New Construction: South elevation only: furnish and install new box gutter, wood cornice and copper gutter lining, match existing. Furnish and install new copper box gutter linings and related accessories as shown on contract drawings. Prime and paint all wood surfaces that have been stripped. Prime and paint all other wood and surfaces that have been prepared for painting. Prepare surfaces and furnish and install glazing compound where indicated. Repair small areas of deteriorated / damaged wood with an approved wood hardener and epoxy wood filler. The estimated cost range of this project is $100,000 to $250,000. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 05/19/2006. The bid opening date is scheduled for 06/19/06 at 11:00 am. This solicitation is set aside for small business concerns only. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 and the size standard is $31.0 million. Our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form.
