- The U.S. Department of Energy/NNSA Service Center is seeking to identify sources that can supply Thermal Weapon Sights, embodying the following required specifications: 1. Screen image (minimum) 320X240 Pixel. 2. Screen refresh or video sample rate (minimum) 30 Hz. 3. Should employ a quick release (clip-on) capability. 4. No special tools required to mount on weapon. 5. Un-cooled to keep size small. 6. Must be able to act as a stand-alone weapon OR work in concert with day optics or sighting equipment. 7. Reticule on/off capability desired. 8. Must mount to a standard Mil-STD 1913 rail. 9. Stationary man detection capable to (minimum) 400m. 10. Stationary man recognition capable to (minimum) 155m. 11. Stationary man identification capable to 55m. 12. Stationary vehicle detection capable to 800m. 13. Stationary vehicle reorganization capable to 300m. 14. Stationary vehicle identification capable to 120m. 15. White and Black hot capability. 16. Must use commercial off the shelf batteries. DL-123 or CR-123s lithium preferred. 17. Batteries must be accessible while mounted to weapon. 18. Low profile design to minimize bore sight alignment. 19. Function controls must be easily accessible while mounted on rifle. 20. Short start-up required <20 seconds. 21. Stand-by feature to conserve batteries is desired. 22. Battery life continuous on for at least 4 hours. 23. Size no grater than 9.0???L x 3.0??? W x 3.5???H. 24. Weight no greater than 2.5lbs with batteries. Interested parties are requested to submit pricing for a quantity of six (6) samples to be submitted for evaluation. This request does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement action will be issued, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited in this sources sought announcement. For technical evaluation purposes, literature on device or device description is required to be submitted along with your quotation. Should your hardware be selected to submit samples, delivery will be four (4) weeks after receipt of order. Delivery Location: U.S. Department of Energy/NNSA, Attn: Edward J. Each quote is to be submitted according to the instructions detailed in the IIPS on-line help document, which is available at http://e-center.doe.gov/doebiz.nsf/. It is the responsibility of the contractor, prior to the quote due date and time, to verify successful transmission in accordance with the Proposal Submission instructions in the "IIPS Users Guide for Contractors."
