- Total Hub-Zone Set-Aside The purpose of this contract is to replace three log stringer bridges with two government-furnished modular bridges and one new modular bridge. The work includes the removal of existing log stringer bridges; removal, repair and reinstallation of modular bridges; removal, repair and transportation of a modular bridge, purchase and installation of a new modular bridge and culvert removal on two roads totaling 2.6 miles. Rock buttressing and ripraping will be performed at bridge installation sites and minor roadway re-grading will be required for the approaches to the two bridges. The project area is located on the north end of Prince of the Wales Island road system in Southeast Alaska approximately 90 miles from Thorne Bay. The Prince of Wales Island road system can be accessed by air transportation or the Inter Island Ferry at Hollis or Coffman Cove. The estimated price range for this acquisition is $250,000 - $500,000. The performance period is 480 calendar days. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about May 18, 2006 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation from the Internet if at all possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation AG-0116-S-06-0030. Telephone requests <u>will not</u> be honored. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date.
