Description
This synopsis is being issued for the sole purpose of the 81st Contracting Squadron, Keesler AFB, MS to conduct Market Research on a project to Replace Bowling Lanes and Approaches with a "Boomerang Glow Under Black Light" designed land and approach. Approaches must be textured to provide an easy slide surface (necessary due to the high humidity of the area of Keesler AFB, Mississippi). Included with the lane replacement, the contractor will: A. Remove all water damaged MML-3000 lanes. B. Remove all water damaged wooded lanes used as sub-foundation beneath. C. Remove all water damaged MML-3000 easy slide approaches. D. Remove all water damaged wooden approaches used as sub-foundation. E. Carefully remove and re-install existing gutters and bumper systems (standard and pneumatic), single cappings, ball track covers, foul detectors, ball return hoods and racks. F. Inspect foundation (substructure) when MML-3000 panels and old wood lanes used as sub-foundation are removed and advise management of pre-existing problems. G. Install complete new underlayment from approach to pin deck. (To be laid first to replace existing wood lanes and approaches). H. Install new MML-3000 lanes and easy slide approaches. I. Palletize the removed MML-3000 lanes. J. Be responsible for any and all travel related expenses such as hotel, meals, ground transportation, and all daily incidental costs. K. Supply all tools required to perform a professional removal of existing equipment, and installation of new equipment. All work is to include the center lanes being "recertified", or in compliance with the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) rules and policies. The National Industrial Classification Systems (NAICS) code is 238990, and the size standard is $13 million. Based on the responses received from this announcement, the Government will follow the procedures as set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulations, and supplements thereto, to determine whether this requirement will be 8(a) Set-Aside; Hub-Zone Set Aside; Hub-Zone Sole Source; Small Disadvantaged, Veteran Owned Set-Aside; Small Disadvantaged, Veteran Owned Sole Source or whether or not the solicitation will be issued full and open competition (unrestricted). Interested firms must be able to demonstrate qualifications necessary to accomplish this work in accordance with the statement of work as well as the drawings. Interested firms are requested to submit capability statements in writing to Mrs. Kathleen Dellenger by close of business on 16 May 06, stating the following (a) whether your firm is 8(a), Hub-Zone, or a Small Disadvantaged Veteran Owned Small Business or any combination therein; (b) General capability statement indicating the ability to perform the scoped project with no delays, to include company experience, superintendent?s qualifications, personnel qualifications, number of qualified personnel, company owned equipment, etc.; (c) Contracts (Commercial or Government) relating to removal and replacement of bowling lanes (d) Contract numbers, (e) Dollar Values; (f) Dates of Performance, (g) Scope of work performed on listed contracts; (h) Contracting Office and Points of Contact. The capability statement should evidence relevant experience in the above areas and include the information requested in the announcement. If sub-contractor?s will be utilized in the performance of this contract, a capability statement shall be provided for each sub-contractor and shall be shown separate from the contractor?s qualifications/capabilities. The subcontractor?s capability statement shall indicate the same information listed in item (b) above. The Government reserves the right not to contact firms who fail to supply the required information within the time specified in the statement.
