Description

HAZ/MAT DQE Inc. The U. S. Department of the Interior, National Business Center, GovWorks on behalf of the US Army Medical Hospital, Heidelberg, Germany (USAMEDDAC), intends to make a firm-fixed price, sole source award to HAZ/MAT DQE Inc. dba DQE Inc., Indianapolis, IN. Specifically, USAMEDDAC has the need for 116 ea. HazMat Personal Protective Kits including Powered Air Purifying Respirator Systems w/ Butyl Hoods and other Decontamination equipment. Through market research this is the only system found to meet the Army's immediate requirements and HAZ/MAT DQE was the only vendor that expressed willingness to assemble the kits per the Army's specifications. This announcement is published as a Sole Source in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. The Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition is posted on the GovWorks web site. This is NOT a request for competitive quotes. The intent of this Special Notice is for informational purposes only. The anticipated award date is May 16th, 2006.
