Description
THIS PROJECT IS UNRESTRICTED. On 15 February 2006, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, implemented a new procedure for posting all NEW solicitations. The Electronic Bid Solicitations (EBS) system is no longer being used to post soli citations. The new system, called Federal Technical Data System (FedTeDS) http://www.fedteds.gov, is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related information for all Federal agencies. All prospective contractors and their subcon tractors and suppliers must be registered in FedTeDS before they will be allowed to download solicitation information. You are urged to read the FAQs posted on the FedTeDS website to better understand this new process. Description of work: An Indefinite Delivery, Multi-Task Construction contract for construction of new pavement installation, pavement repair, pavement replacement and associated work including: roads; airfields; concrete sidewalks, curbs and gutters; demo lition; clearing and grubbing; earthwork; excavation; trenching and backfilling for utilities systems; storm-drainage systems; pavement markings and traffic signs; fencing; erosion control; sodding; planting; turf seeding; bituminous pavement with base cou rse; bituminous surface treatment; fuel-resistant sealers; compression joint seals for concrete pavements; cold milling; grooving for airfield pavements and roads; cracking and seating of non-reinforced concrete pavements; and other related work. Work wi ll be performed primarily at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, but may be located at other Federal facilities located within the geographic boundaries of the Army Corps of Engineers, South Atlantic Division. The task orders issued under these contracts will be Firm Fixed Price Construction. The contract shall be for a period of three years and shall not exceed $14.5 million. The contracts will be solicited and procured using a Request for Proposals (RFP) Performance Price Trade-Off in accordance with FAR Part 15.101. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about 15 May 2006 on the Internet at http://www.fedteds.gov. Notification of amendments will be through use of the Internet. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided. It is the Offerors responsibility to check the Internet address provided as necessary for any posted changes to this solicitation and all amendments.
