- This is an Update to Sources Sought Notice only for a Request for Information (RFI). No solicitation is being issued at this time. This update to the Sources Sought Notice is also issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. All businesses capable of providing this requirement are invited to respond. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this sources sought synopsis. Specifically, this RFI seeks the following information from all interested parties: 1. Comments and recommendations to the attached Performance Specification for Quick Don Mask (QDM) dated 17 Apr 2006. 2. Approximate cost information (i.e. rough order of magnitude (ROM) for budgeting purposes) for unit cost of production items designed to meet Draft Performance Specification requirements. 3. Approximate cost information (i.e. rough order of magnitude (ROM) for budgeting purposes) for data rights associated with the development needed to meet Draft Performance Specification requirements. 4. Estimated days for delivery for item. Responses submitted in digital formats, readable by Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft WORD or POWERPOINT, are strongly encouraged. All questions relating to this announcement must be submitted in writing (i.e. fax, e-mail, or mail). Telephone responses will not be acknowledged or returned. All responses will be kept confidential. When the responses to this RFI are received, they will be evaluated and analyzed by the Government. Based on industry responses, HSG/TA intends to modify/update the Performance Specification document as necessary. In all cases pertaining to this RFI, the Government will take absolute care not to present information outside of the Government in a way that clearly identifies individual vendors or products. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only, and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. In accordance with FAR 15.210 (e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. Responses should include the name, telephone number, and e-mail address of a point of contact having authority and knowledge to discuss responses with us.
