- REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) ANNOUNCEMENT. The Division of Cancer Prevention (DCP) of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) is seeking a contractor to provide monitoring and quality control auditing services for the DCP chemoprevention studies and cancer prevention trials (Phase I, II, III); to provide training regarding the conduct of cancer prevention trials to staff at clinical sites; and to provide on-going development, support and maintenance of the DCP central database (DCP Enterprise System Knowledgebase or DESK [Oracle?] ), the DCP cancer prevention clinical trials database [Oracle? Clinical-Remote Data Capture or OC-RDC]), and the mechanisms used to collect, analyze and report clinical trial data. The workscope of the RFP is divided into four different task areas which integrate to provide comprehensive clinical trial oversight capability for the DCP: Task 1: Provide data management services for participant cancer prevention clinical trial data; Task 2: Provide monitoring and quality control auditing services for DCP cancer prevention clinical trials; Task 3: Provide education and training support to staff conducting cancer prevention clinical trials; Task 4: Provide support for the development, maintenance and integration of data transfer and reporting mechanisms for data collected from cancer prevention clinical trials. The proposed acquisition is a re-competition of contract N02-CN-25100 awarded to Westat, Inc. It is anticipated that one (1) Cost Reimbursement, Completion type contract will be awarded and that the period of performance will consist of a total of seven (7) contract years. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541690. Request for Proposal (RFP) No. N02-CN-65002-46 will be available electronically on or about May 1, 2006 with a due date for receipt of proposals on or about June 1, 2006.
