Description

This is a request for information only as defined in FAR 15.201(e). The Government seeks to obtain industry input and comment on a draft Joint Performance Based Fuel Bladder Specification. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. This is a Request for Information only. As the Executive Agent (EA) for Bulk Petroleum, The Defense Energy Support Center is seeking industry comment prior to finalizing and publishing the proposed document as a Joint Perormance Based Specification for future fuel bladder acquisitions. This document represents a departure by the DoD from previous detailed bladder specifications and the performance requirements specified have been mutually agreed upon by all military Services. Comments should address specific concerns or percieved inconsistencies in the document. This is a Performance Based Specification, therefore recommendations for inclusion of specific materials or processes will not be considered. Preferred media is electronic copies, in Microsoft Word, Power Point or Excel. Preferred method of submission is via email.
