- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Cleveland VA Medical Center, intends to negotiate a commercial sole source contract with NDI Medical pursuant to the authority of FAR 13.501. This procurement is to obtain a service contract which will provide expertise in the development of a common platform clinician programming system, Phase III, to include the following: (1) First Module Approval; (2) Develop Manufacturing Process; (3) Verify and Validate Testing of Firmware and Software; (4) Verify Testing of IPG Circuitry with Firmware; (5) Finished Product Verification and Validation; and (6) Develop/Execute Manufacturing Processes. Phase IV includes: (1) Produce First Clinician Programmer System; (2) Compile Design Dossier for FDA and EU Notified Body Submissions. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract. Period of performance will be from date of award through September 30, 2006. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all inquiries received within 5 days after issue date of this special notice will be considered by the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposal based upon responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
