Description

The Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge (Refuge) owns and has a Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) permit for a Class 1 pond system wastewater treatment plant (Facility) located near Willows, California consisting of two lined stabilization ponds, one unlined evaporation pond, and one lined evaporation pond. In addition, there is a lift station with two Flygt sewage pumps and five float switches, a control panel, flowmeter and chart recorder. The Facility does not require chemical treatment or mechanical aeration. The approximate average annual daily flow for the Facility is 1,800 gal/day. All facilities were built in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal regulations and are in good working order, do not contain any known defective equipment, and are suitable and adequate for the reasonable needs of its expected operations.
