Description
This amendment number 2 is issued to post additional questions and answers. 1. RFP states ?AOS SkyPipe?(or equivalent) Proxy Enhancement Protocol (PEP) Server and Client version software for link optimization? software being the specific point ? must the PEP be software based or will an equivalent, (operationally) hardware solution be allowed/suffice? ANSWER: No, a hardware solution will not be allowed/suffice, unless it has the same capabilities as the AOS SkyPipe solution. If not, it must be a software based PEP, with the same capabilities as the AOS SkyPipe solution. 2. What are the civil works requirements for the 3.8M hub? Without a site survey, these requirements cannot be quoted correctly. ANSWER: Please clarify what is meant by ?civil works requirements?. Site survey is addressed in #3, below. 3. Is there a possibility of pushing the response date out so we can conduct a site visit to determine the site implementation and civil works requirements at the target install site for the hub? ANSWER: For those vendors who want to tour the site for the satellite hub installation at Ft. Sam Houston, TX, government representatives will be available for a site survey on Wednesday, March 29, 2006, no later than 9 AM. Contact person for the site survey is Jack Donohue, 210-221-1572. Date for receipt of proposals remains on or before 1 PM (CST) on 3/31/2006.
