Description

Solicitation for the possible replacement of Hand Sanitizer for TRICARE Northwest. These products include but are not limited to a complete product line of hand hygiene products. Those companies interested in a possible Regional Incentive Agreement (discounted DAPA pricing based on volume) with TRICARE Northwest must respond to the following: Hand Sanitizer Clinical Criteria 1. Does your product(s) meet CDC recommendations for hand hygiene in health care settings 2. Does your product(s) contain CDC recommended volume and percentage of alcohol (60-95%)? 3. Does your product(s) contain emollient, humectant and/or other skin-conditioning additive(s)? 4. Is your product a foam product? 5. Provide evidence that your product(s) contain light or no fragrance to increase tolerance of HCWs with respiratory allergies. 6. Are your product(s) available in portable containers for Health Care Workers? 7. Does your product(s) contain a Broad Spectrum antimicrobial agent that is Fast-acting and has a persistent effect? 8. Is your product(s) hypoallergenic? 9. Please provide description of your products color, consistency and smell that will aid in its use and personnel compliance. 10. Please state whether your product(s) have had known interactions between the product and type of gloves (exam/surgical  latex and non-latex) used in health care facilities. 11. Do your dispensers meet the criteria from the NFPA Life Safety Code 12. Do your dispensers deliver appropriate volume of product? Hand Sanitizer Technical/Company Criteria 1. Are you a manufacturer or distributor of Hand Sanitizers? Provide evidence that you manufacture/distribute a full line of hand sanitizer products. 2. Is your product line manufactured using approved industry standards, i.e., comply with CDC guidelines? 3. Does your company provide compliance programs to support infection prevention efforts? 4. Does your company have a distribution agreement with Cardinal Healthcare? 5. Does your company currently possess, or in the process of obtaining, a Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA)? 6. Does your company have the ability to service to the entire TRICARE Northwest (WA and Alaska)? Please provide your companys distribution network 7. Does your company provide educational programs and clinical support? Describe material available and type of clinical support (brochures, video tapes, interactive access to web or other). Will product in-service and education be available upon reques t after product implementation throughout the length of a possible agreement? 8. Describe your companys return goods policy. 9. Describe your companys proposed implementation plan if you were to enter into an agreement with TRICARE Northwest. 10. Does your company provide volume discounts? 11. Provide a history of back orders and/or recalls for this product group with dates, duration, cause, and how information was communicated to the customer, interim measures and final resolution. 12. Does your company have a 1-800 # for customer questions? 13.
