AMENDMENT #1 - March 21, 2006 QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS - RFQ#E002628 QUESTION #1 - Is the FBI requesting 100 cameras or 100 motion detector processors? ANSWER #1 - One hundred motion detector processors, as stated in the solicitation. QUESTION #2 - What type of connection will be required? ANSWER #2 - The video being fed into the motion detector shall be from a fiber receiver and/or microwave receiver. QUESTION #3 - Is a fixed or pan tilt zoom required? ANSWER #3 - The video could be from either a fixed field of view and/or a pan tilt zoom system. QUESTION #4 - What is the field of view? ANSWER #4 - The field of view shall be either indoors/or outdoors from normal scenes to include parking lots, fencelines, stairwells, etc. QUESTION #5 - Is the system required to operate outdoors? ANSWER #5 - No. QUESTION #6 - Is the system required to operate in changing weather conditions? ANSWER #6 - Yes. QUESTION #7 - What is the required detection range? ANSWER #7 - The detection range will vary. QUESTION #8 - Is the system required to compensate for the change in target size when it is closer to the camera? ANSWER #8 - Yes. QUESTION #9 - Is the system required to detect various conditions of motion. ANSWER #9 - Yes. QUESTION #10 - Is the system required to have built in alerting for spoofing and tampering? ANSWER #10 - No. QUESTION #11 - Is the system required to be expendable? ANSWER #11 - No. QUESTION #12 - Will the system be installed at a single location with all cameras home running to a central location or will it be networked over many location points? ANSWER #12 - Yes. The deadline for receipt of quotes has been extended to March 29, 2006, with the same closing time.
