Description
The United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service intends to award a sole source procurement to Southeast Mailing Equipment located in Cumming, Georgia for the following Kirk Rudy items: Kirk Rudy netjet with three inches (4.5? of print (Electronic Module and 3 1.5? print module item # 3451 ? quantity 1 each Netjet system specs: - Three print modules that are 1.5? each for a total of 4.5? of vertical print - Variable data AND variable graphics on each mail piece - Conveyor zip code and bundle breaks - Ability to rotate text, graphics and barcodes - Automatic ink monitoring - Multiple font use within text boxes - All windows true type fonts - Barcodes required: USPS certified postnet, UPC/EAN, 2 of 5, codabar, 128 - 24 Windows Unicode languages - Data formats: fixed length, delimited, label, dbf, access, excell - Speeds up to 480 feet per minute at 600x150 DPI - Speeds up to 360 feet per minute at 600x200 DPI - Speeds up to 250 feet per minute at 600x300 DPI - Speeds up to 125 feet per minute at 600x600 DPI - Must have ink conservation mode of 300x600, 300x300, 300x200, 300x150 DPI - Cartridge controls: Pulse warming keeps ink at proper print temperature Short detection prevents damage to heads Pen calibration - voltage and pulse length tuning for each cartridge - Ability to add ?Match Mail? capability with software upgrade - Ability to add ?Read Write? capability with software upgrade Kirk Rudy 215 IJ mailing base with vacuum table top, heat belts and monitor stand, item # 1024-2 ? quantity 1 each (see specifications below) Kirk-Rudy Mail Base: - Must be plug compatible with a Kirk-Rudy 496F friction feeder - Inkjet base must have built in vacuum shuttle feeder and 36? dryer section with heat resistant belts - Equipment must be plug compatible with Kirk-Rudy 535 tabber such that when any stop button is depressed, the entire system stops - Inkjet base must have dual motors (one for the feed section, one for the transport) - Inkjet base must have vacuum tabletop - Inkjet base must feed material up to 17? wide - Inkjet base must feed material up to .625? thick - Inkjet base must be able to interface with Research dryer - Must run at speeds up to 60,000 postcards per hour - Ability to add Kirk-Rudy 412 shuttle bypass to mail base Kirk Rudy 12?
