Description
The 412 TW, AFFTC, Edwards Air Force Base, CA is seeking potential sources capable of providing for High Power Amplifiers, Quantity, Two Each, in support of the 412th Test Wing range program upgrade for flight termination systems. The equipment needs to be equal to the items listed to meet the form, fit, and function of existing systems. REQUIREMENTS: High Power Amplifier-1000 Watt, Quantity Two Each. Standard Specifications are as follows: Equipment Consist List: (1) Microprocessor Controller Drawer, 19?Wx21?Dx5.25?H, Wt, 20 lbs; (1) High Power Amplifier (HPA) Drawer 19?Wx27?Dx8.75?H, Wt. 120 lbs.; (1) 3000 Watt DC Power Supply Drawer 19?Wx21?Dx5.25?H, Wt. 50 lbs. Frequency Range: 370-450MHz RF Output Power: 1000 Watts @ P1dB Minimum RF Input Power: -3dBm to +6dBm, +10dBm Maximum without damage RF Gain Flatness: +2dB Maximum into 1.05:1 VSWR RF Output Power Selectivity: Continuously Variable with 20 dB Minimum range Harmonic and Spurious: -90 dBc min. @ 1,000 Watts RF Output Power up to 2750 MHZ RF Input & Output Impedance: 50 ohms Nominal RF Input /Output Connectors: Type ?N? Female RF Input & Output VSWR: 2.0:1 Maximum RF Output Protection: Integral Isolator protected up to 1250 watts with no damage Open or Short or any mismatch RF Outputs: Two outputs from internal RF switch (Antenna and Dummy Load) RF Output Selection: Front panel with manual external control using TTL input control RF Switch External Control: TTL Low = RF to Antenna, TTL High = RF to Dummy Load RF Switching Time: <50 msec Noise Figure: 10dB Maximum Automatic Failure Capability: HPA?s will have this functionality built in for future upgrade Control: Local Control via Color Touch screen Display & Remote Control via Ethernet including Ground closure for transmitter On/Off via Ethernet. Cooling: Forced air via integral Front Panel Intake, and Rear Panel Exhaust Over Temperature Protection: Temperature Monitoring and Shutdown Environmental: Humidity, Salt Operating Temperature Range: -20 to 50 Degrees Celsius ambient Operating Altitude: 50,000 feet Maximum Operating Relative Humidity: 0-95% non condensing Prime Input Power: 180 ? 264 VAC, Single (1) Phase The 370-450 MHz, 1000 Watt High Power Amplifier System with Local/Remote and Discrete Control which includes the following Three (3) Drawers: !000 Watt HPA Drawer with Antenna/Dummy Load Switch; 3500 Watt, 180 ? 264 VAC, Single (1) Phase Power Supply Drawer & Local/Remote & Discrete Controller Drawer including 2 year Warranty and Freight FOB Edwards AFB CA 93524 with Delivery 150 DARO. Please note that this synopsis is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for competitive bids/proposals and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the High Powered Amplifier equipment or equivalent, listed above. Firms responding to this notice must identify their company?s capabilities to perform the requirements described herein, reference the number and indicate whether or not that they are a small business concern as defined in FAR 52.219-1. The NAICS code is 334220. The Small Business size standard is 750. The information received as a result of this synopsis will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this sources sought synopsis, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this sources sought synopsis. It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded in April 2006.
