Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. It is the Government's intent to negotiate on a sole source basis with American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) , 5301 Buckeystown Pike Suite 350, Frederick, MD 21704 for the following: (1) An Assessment of our Winchester Engineering and Analytical Center for 3 scopes of accreditation for: Chemistry, Engineering, and Radiopharmaceuticals by an internationally recognized program for performing assessments and granting accreditation to ISO17025:2005 and AOAC Guidelines for laboratories performing microbiological and chemical analyses of foods and pharmaceuticals. The FDA began the accreditation process for 13 labs and eight have been accredited by A2LA thus far. In order for the labs to have uniform practices, manuals, and procedures in all of the labs, they must be accredited to the same requirements. This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). Any interested party should submit a statement of capabilities along with a price quotation to determine if the requirements of this synopsis can be met, no later than 10 days from the date of this announcement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contracts based on responses from this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any information received shall be considered.
