- Baghdad distribution SCADA 2 This upcoming solicitation will be for a Fixed Price Contract for the contractor to upgrading an existing control center, install remote terminal units at remote stations and the establish a UHF communications link to a control center. The contractor shall design, supply and provide support for equipment commissioning. An option to install on site will also be considered. The project objective is to build a reliable distribution system for electrical power in Baghdad with the use of the SCADA system capable of monitoring and controlling the 33/11kv substations. There is an existing distribution control center in Waziriya in the eastern side (Rusafa) of Baghdad. This project will connect approximately 70 (seventy) 33/11kv substations in East Baghdad to the existing control center in order to monitor and control these substations for a more reliable distribution system. Much more detail will be provided in the upcoming solicitation. The solicitation, W91GXY-06-R-0041, will be posted to the Project and Contracting Office website, once released.
