Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The NUWC Newport intends to award a competitive, small business set-aside, Fixed Price contract based on lowest price for the following items: HP ProLiant DL145 Processor. The HP ProLiant DL 145 Processor is the hardware system that the Canadian Government has identified procured and fielded on board the DRDC Research vessel the ?Quest.? The Networked Underwater Warfare Technology (NUWT) project will be participating in 2 at-sea exercises in FY06 on board the Quest. The intent is to install a NUWT suite of HP ProLiant processors that will be running the advanced tracking algorithms developed by the primary contractors working on the NUWT project. The primary contractors working with the Canadian Government have run benchmark tests using the designated Hp Proliant DL 145 processors and have determined that they meet the requirements of the tracking algorithms being developed for NUWT by both the Canadian and United States Government. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/contract/. We also provide electronic access in our Bid Room.
