Description

The Patuxent River Infrared Signature Measurement (PRISM) System at the Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, MD 20670 has a requirement for the purchase of one (1) 200/500mm Dual-FOV lens to cover the Short-Wave (SWIR) band. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source firm fixed price contract with Optimum Optical Systems, Inc., 4153 Calle Tesoro, Camarillo, CA 93012, under the authority of FAR 6.302, only one responsible source and no other goods or services will meet the agency?s needs. Optimum lenses have a proprietary athermalization calibration and digital focus controller interface intergral to the system and is the only source capable of the optical/mechanical design, fabrication, assembly and test of the required lens that must match existing lenses already in use. Deliveries shall occur no later than six (6) months after date of award. The award date is anticipated to be March 31, 2006. Delivery will be to the Receiving Officer, Supply Department, Bldg. 665, 47179 Vaughn Road, (NASSU), Patuxent River, MD 20670.
