The Naval Air Systems Command intends to procure a quantity of twenty-six (26) P/N 282610-1 (mount base) and twenty-six (26) P/N 282625-1 (cable adapter 1553) on a sole source firm fixed-price basis from Cubic Defense Applications Incorporated, San Diego, California. Delivery must begin by 15 May 2006 at a quantity of 5 each per month. The Downed Aviator Locator System (DALS) was solely developed by Cubic. The DALS was qualified by NAVAIR for flight as of 9 Feb 2006 and the associated mounts and cables are part of the system. See numbered note (22). *****
