Description

RFQ-NAS-0168-2006 The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Central Office, National Acquisitions Section intends to make a single award to a responsible quoter for a national contract for 12-Gauge Pump Action Shotguns with adjustable and bead sights. The contractor shall provide shotguns to various BOP facilities throughout the United States, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico on an as needed basis. This solicitation is anticipated to result in a Requirements type contract with Firm Fixed Unit Prices. The anticipated term of the contract includes a one year base period and four one year option periods for renewal at the unilateral discretion of the Government . The base year period will be from date of award through 12 months, Option Year One period shall be from 13 months through 24 months, Option Year Two period shall be from 25 months through 36 months, Option Year Three period shall be from 37 months through 48 months, and Option Year Four period shall be from 49 months through 60 months, The estimated quantities for the base year period and each subsequent option year period are: Base Year period Adjustable sight 105, Bead sight 105; Option Year One period Adjustable sight 105, Bead sight 105; Option Year Two period Adjustable sight 105, Bead sight 105; Option Year Three period Adjustable sight 105, Bead sight 105; Option Year Four period Adjustable sight 105, Bead sight. The solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis, open to both Small and Large businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 332994, Small Arms Manufacturing. The solicitation will be made available on or about March 15, 2006, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Federal Business Opportunities website http://fedbizopps.gov Hard copies of this solicitation will not be available. The fedbizopps website provides downloading instructions. All future information concerning this solicitation including amendments, will also be distributed solely through this sight. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this sight to ensure they have the most current information concerning this solicitation. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a quote which will be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is March 22, 2006.
