Description
DESC: OC-ALC/LPKPA DIR CONTRACTING/PROPULSION 3001 STAFF DR STE 2AE1 109B TINKER AIR FORCE BASE OK 73145-3032. SUPPORT ASSEMBLY. For additional information contact Timothy Strobel/PSG/PKP/ (405) 736-2208. Item 0001 NSN: 2840-00-003-5608RV P/N: 708646, DESCRIPTION: Support #5 Bearing Housing. . The function of the seal is to prevent oil leakage into the gas path of the engine. The dimensions are 14.430 inches OD by 11.920 inches ID with varying thickness from .210 to .700 inches, 18 slots equally spaced on the ID., 32.281 inch and 32.250 inch holes equally spaced and located on a diameter of 13.700 and 13.950 inches. See drawing for specific manufacturing instructions. Kind of material is AMS S616 SST. Application: TF 33 engine. Quantity Ranges of: Max-231, Med- 185, and Min- 93 EA. Destn: Tinker AFB OK 73145-3032 Delivery: August 2007. This item is a competitive, small business set-aside. Due to the complexity and criticality of this part, only actual manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing required by the original company responsible for the design, or manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing on items determined by the government to be similar in complexity and criticality, can be considered approved sources for this item. Solicitation will have First Article Requirements. Government/Commercial New and Unused surplus is acceptable. Solicitation will be posted on or around 24 March 2006 and quotes will be requested by approximately 24 April 2006. The anticipated award date is May 2006. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. Only written requests received directly from the requestors are acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with United Technologies Corporation. Note: An Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel.
