Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, St. Inigoes, MD intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price, Contract with Signal Technology Corporation, DBA Keltec Operations, 84 Hill Avenue, Fort Walton Beach, Florida 32548-3875, to provide power and filter modules for OE-120( ) /UPX Performance Based Logistics (PBL) Programs that meet: MIL-STD-461E Control of Electromagnetic Interference Characteristics of Subsystems and Equipment; MIL-STD-202(G)1 Electronic and Electrical Component Parts; and MIL-STD-167, Type 1 Mechanical Vibrations of Shipboard Equipment. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR Part 6.302-1), only one responsible source. Keltec Operations is the manufacturer of the power and filter modules used in the Programmer Power Supply, thus they have been tested and utilized in a shipboard environment, and fine tuned to the exact specifications required for system operation. The required power and filter modules must be electronically and mechanically identical to existing power and filter modules, meet all the MIL-STD requirements and meet the following mandatory requirements: operating -28 degrees to +65 degrees Celsius; storage -62 degrees to +70 degrees Celsius; 50,000 feet in non-pressurized compartments; power supply shall be air-cooled; and minimum airflow shall be 54 CFM. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST OF COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties may submit information, no later than 30 days after this synopsis is published, which will be considered by this agency. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this action is 335311, size-standard of 750 employees.
