- SUBJECT: Hotel Lodging Hotel Accommodations in Jackson, Mississippi (5 rooms) and Baton Rouge, Louisiana (5 rooms) DESC: The U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Inspector General has a requirement for hotel lodging for the period beginning April 1, 2006 through September 30, 2006, with a one-year Option period beginning October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007. Only hotels located in Jackson, Mississippi and Baton Rouge, Louisiana will be considered for award. Requirements include: (1) 5 sleeping rooms with living room quarters in each of the above locations at or below the government per diem; (2) high speed internet service; (3) adequate and reasonable food service must be available on-site and within walking distance; and (4) 5 parking spaces, and (5) transportation to a major airport. Instructions: E-mail questions regarding this solicitation to agardner@oig.dol.gov by 12:00 pm, Wednesday, March 8, 2005. Responses to questions will be available at the following web site http://www.oig.dol.gov/public/rfps/main.htm. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-applies to this acquisition, (JAN 2006). Provisions in the FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items (Jan 1999)(a) To be eligible for award of this contract, the hotel must be compliant with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990 (PL101-391), 15 USC 2201, (Public Law 101-391) and be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 USC Section 12101. Offerors are to include with their offer a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (MAR 2005). FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition (SEPT 2005). The following FAR clauses are applicable: 52.212-5(a) (1) and (2), 52.212-5(b), 52-212-5(c), 52.212-5(d) (1) (2) (3) and 52.212-5(e) (1) (2) (3). You can view the full text of these FAR clause(s) on the internet. The FAR INTERNET address is http://www.arnet.gov/far/. Provide proof of compliance with current regulations, laws, and provisions. (See above). Site visits may be done to evaluate proposed sleeping rooms, location of restaurants, shops, etc. Also include Tax Identification Number and Dun and Bradstreet number and FEMA certification number. Evaluations: Award will be made to the offeror who proposes the most advantageous offer at the lowest cost. Also, award may be made without discussions. Site visits shall be done to ensure the offer meets all the government?s stated requirements. The government will contact the offeror to coordinate the date and time of site visits. Also, to ensure that the offeror is not only responsive, but responsible, offerors shall provide 5 recent references, (within the last three years), for same or similar services, (e.g. long term lodging). A price analysis will also be done to determine proposed cost fair and reasonable before award.
