- SCOPE OF WORK BUILDING #6 ROOF TRUSS AND CEILING REPAIRS The intent of this scope of work is to provide construction services to repair roof truss system and ceiling replacement in Building #6. A: Roof Truss System Repair: 1. The work includes the jacking of the trusses into original position (to cause the disconnected chord to restore contact with the bottom chord) to facilitate the installation of approximately 76 wood gusset connector plates on about 19 trusses. Also included is repairing two split bottom chord sections by splicing in new 2X6 members per the attached details. 2. The repairs shall be made by a licensed qualified Contractor, with experience in repairing wood trusses desirable. Strict conformance to the Mitek details (see attached) is required to return the trusses to their required structural capacity. Work shall be periodically inspected by a qualified government representative. B: NEW CEILING INSTALLATION: 1. The contractor shall also provide a 5/8? fire rated drywall ceiling. This work includes drywall installation, joints taped, mudded, sanded and ceiling painted. The center shall specify the paint. 2. The contractor shall provide cut outs for the existing light boxes that will be remounted by the center. The cut outs shall be close enough that further drywall repair is not required after installation of the light fixtures. 3. The contractor shall provide R-30 Blown or batt insulation for the entire new ceiling area (approximately 30? X 40? ) C: DEMOLITION/REMOVAL: 1. The contractor shall verify location and extent of demolition required to accomplish the work. 2. Construction debris must be removed from the site and construction area must be secured to the center?s satisfaction at the end of each workday. D: RULES: 1. The contractor shall at all times abide by the centers rules and regulations. 2. The contractor must meet Davis Bacon Act Wage Requirements. 3. Payment terms are Net 30 from Center sign-off on completion 4. The contractor shall supply evidence of applicable licenses, liability insurance and workmen?s compensation insurance. 5. Work shall be completed during the hours of 7am ? 4pm Mon-Fri unless otherwise arranged with Center Facility Manager. 6. Center Facility Manager, David Bonsal, will be the Point-of-Contact for site construction needs. The Center F&A Manager, Rodney Butler, will be the POC for contract administration. E: WARRANTY: 1.
