Description
This is a modification to the synopsis entitled Construction of Storage Shed, Solicitation No. NNG-06-120350-1-Q, which was posted on February 10, 2006. You are notified that the following changes are made: Question: Are the 4 X 6 X 12 posts to be anchored to the ground or asphalt surface where the shed is to be placed? If it is to be anchored what are the requirements? Answer: The post shall be through the asphalt into the ground for a total of 30" and concreted. Question: How many of the 4 X 6 X 12 are to be used or is the photo an identical replica to go by? Answer: Photo is a replica of the storage shed. Number of posts not specified. Question: Is the surface that the Storage Shed to be set on level? Answer: The lot is asphalt and is NOT level. Question: What is the pitch of the roof? (this figure is not complete in the photo that accompanied the solicitation) Answer: Spelled out in the specification. Question: What are the actual sizes of the lumber to be used to build the roof trusses? ( 2 X 4, 2 X 6, 2 X 8?) Answer: Roof trusses shall be 2X4 with pitch spelled out in the specification. Question: Is there a weight bearing (for snow accumulation) calculation for the roof trusses? Answer: Roof truss loading spelled out in specification. Question: Is there a completely detailed material list for the shed? Answer: Spelled out in specification. Question: Is there any purchase history for this shed or one that is comparable? Answer: No previous history available. Question: Can the shed be totally constructed on-site? Answer: Yes. Question: Will you consider an all steel structure as apposed to a Pole Barn construction with Steel Siding and Roof Answer: No. The due date for responses is not extended. Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
