Description

U.S. SPECIAL Operations Command (USSOCOM) anticipates contracting with Mica Microwave Corporation, 1096 Mellon Ave, Manteca CA 95337-6119 for RF Isolator used on MH-47 and MH-60 Radar Altimeter systems for sustainment of this or any other aircraft fielded for USSOCOM. The proposed action is for a commodity purchase for which the Governement does not own specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. Firms that feel thay can provide these particular parts are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal, however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date (in accordance with FAR 5.203(a)). A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. The estimated release date of the solication is 2 March 2006. The purchase will be FOB Destination to the address listed in the solicitation and no suitable substitutes will be authorized or accepted
